Field Guide to the Birds of North America
Buy from:
Amazon.co.uk
or Amazon.com
National Geographic
In this field guide are undoubtedly some of the best illustrations in any American birdbook that I have ever seen. Seeing as I have already been to America and seen some of their birds, I was relieved to find that when I bought this, the illustrations were an exact, concise representation of the bird. The maps, which show the state borders as well as the distribution of the birds, are logically colour-coded and easy to understand. |

David Sibleys new field guide to the birds of North America renders all the existing guides obsolete at one stroke. The book itself is beautifully produced and crafted - the sort of book that gives pleasure just in the handling of it. |
